This crochet afghan weighs OVER SIX POUNDS!

Why is that important? Though I make no promised or guarantees, this can be considered a “weighted blanket” for someone up to 60lbs.

What is a weighted blanket? It is a purposefully created heavy blanket that when used can sometimes have the effect of calming. The general rule is 10% of the user’s body weight. Hence, at over 6lbs, this would be just right for someone up to 60-65lbs!

With that being said my 40lb baby pictured, and my 6’1” husband love it just the same. It is a family favorite by far!

This is done in a simple c2c method, BUT:

  • just one ball of each color is needed
  • it uses as much as possible of each ball while keeping only full rows

I’ve created a concise and clear video linked in the pattern to show you how to do C2C and the color changes needed for this pattern!

Please review all the small print at the bottom of the pattern regarding how you may share the pattern, it is greatly appreciated! <3
