The rainbow, with its gradual colour gradation, is created by knitting with two strands of lace weight yarn, changing only one strand at a time as you work your way through the spectrum. The end result is a stunning wrap or scarf!

Sample shawl used about 25g each of 11 different colours of lace weight yarn: purple, blue-violet, blue, turquoise, teal, spruce, olive, yellow-gold, orange-gold, red, maroon. Scarf will require half that amount.

Finished size = 22” X 90” (shawl); 11” X 90” (scarf)

Pattern includes notes on using fingering weight yarns, as well as hints for taking care of yarn ends as you knit, instead of having to weave them all in at the finish.
