About the Pattern
This pattern was originally designed to help sell the recommended yarn from my LYS. The beaded yarn wasn’t moving at all, so I set out to make a pattern that would use one skein of the beaded yarn. I figured I could stretch the yardage by adding in a second type of yarn and alternating the rows between the two yarns. I love the effect! This cowl would be just as pretty in a single, solid color, but the beads and subtle stripes really add to the beauty of the finished piece.
A best friend of mine was fascinated with how much the beads resembled raindrops, so I decided to name the pattern after that.
The finished cowl is light, cool, and has a soft drape, making it the perfect springtime and summer accessory.
I hope you love this pattern as mush as I do!

Louisa Harding, Tilli Tomas, and Artyarns all have lovely beaded yarns that would work well in this cowl. Beads could also be knitted in by simply stringing your yarn with beads before knitting. Or knit your cowl with no beads at all! The choice is all yours.
