For the 10th year of Sock Madness, I was trying to design a sock pattern that would slow the really fast knitters, but let the slower knitters have fun also! My favorite patterns to knit also incorporate a repeatable pattern that is easily memorized for when knitting out and about during the day. Put together my favorite patterns from past Madness’ and a die and you get….Random Madness! A cabling pattern dependent on the roll of a die.

This sock is a little tight over the heel because of the intensity of the cabling. If you need extra ease, just increase the number of rows in the gusset for pick up later, remembering to increase the number of the stitches to pick up. No changing of the heel stitches required, Nice!
