The Rare Grace Cuffs came about as the result of a design challenge - to design a small item that could be whipped up in an evening, but could be made by either crochet or knitting. This pattern is the knitted version.

Material Requirements:

  • 1 skein of EACH Patons Grace (sport weight 100% cotton) and Jo Sharp Rare Comfort Infusion Kid Mohair (lace to fingering weight brushed mohair)
  • 2 buttons per cuff (sample used 15mm or 5/8” buttons)

The cotton cuff portion uses an interesting textural stitch that requires some special stitch manipulation, but a detailed explanation is given in the pattern. The ruffles are added afterward.

One skein of each of the suggested yarns has more than enough yardage for a pair of cuffs. If you cannot find the Jo Sharp Rare Comfort Infusion Kid Mohair, any other brushed yarn in a lace or fingering weight will work.
