A reversible top that can be worn with the lace in front or in the back. Make it a tee or a sweater. Make it as long or as short as you want. Wear it as a top or layer it over a shirt. There is no right or wrong way to make and wear Rasamala!

With top-down raglan construction, you’ll have ease of mind of increasing at the same spot throughout the project. This pattern is designed to maximize your yarn so that you’ll have very little left over. The sample was made on size 36″ and it only used 2 skeins of Papiput Velvet yarns with 4 grams left!

SIZES
Bust circumference measurements 32 (34, 36, 38) (40, 42, 44, 46)” / 81 (86, 91, 96) (101, 106, 111, 116) cm.
There is around 1.5 – 4” / 3.75 – 10 cm of positive ease after blocking.
Body length can be easily adjusted.

MATERIALS

YARN
Papiput Yarn Velvet. 50% mercerized merino, 50% silk. 360 meters per 100 grams.
Tee: 2 (2, 2, 3) (3, 4, 4, 4) skeins.
Sweater: 3 (3, 4, 4) (5, 5, 6, 6) skeins.
Having an additional skein at hand is suggested.

NEEDLES
One pair of US-4 / 3.5 mm circular needles in 16” / 40 cm and 24” / 60 cm, or 32” / 80 cm length.

NOTIONS
7 stitch markers with the same shape or color, and 1 stitch marker with a different shape or color to mark the beginning of the round.
Waste yarn or yarn holder.
1 tapestry needle.

GAUGE
24 sts x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” (stockinette).
22 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” (lace stitch pattern from Chart F).
Blocked. Relaxed.
