The colours I used and the pattern made me think of meringues, cream, raspberries and mousse all layered to make the most scrumptious dessert. The only thing missing is chocolate…

This hat is made in aran weight yarn using simple slip stitches (no stranding, one colour worked per round) to create an intricate looking colourwork pattern. It has a little negative ease to give a close fit.

Designed to use up scraps in three colours. The sample actually used wool (cream/meringue), merino (pink/mousse) and a wool/alpaca mix (deep red/raspberries).

The pattern is charted using StitchMastery and includes full written instructions.

Stitches used: k, p, kfb, k2tog, s1p
