An easy beanie pattern with a band of stranded colorwork to make it unique and fun to knit. It’s named after the Rat Tonic potion from the Harry Potter books. Have fun knitting the cutest healthy whimsical rats.

The pattern contains detailed written instructions for shaping, the colorwork pattern is charted only.

Techniques used: knit/purl in the round, decrease, stranded colorwork.

Yarn: Any sport weight yarn:
Main color: 150-200 yards.
Contrasting colors: 30-40 yards of each contrasting color.

Tools: Size US 4 / 3.5 mm set of 5 DPNs (or 16” circular or long circular for magic loop); tapestry needle; scissors; 1 stitch marker to mark beginning of the round.
