This sweater was inspired by my daughter’s love of tigers; I wanted to design something that was real enough for pretend, but practical enough for everyday. You can buy the pattern individually, or as part of the Imagination Collection.

The Imagination Collection includes four animal sweater, each with 7 sizes (3 months - 6T), two toy patterns, two full photo tutorials, in addition to other links, tips, and tricks.

Rawwr is knit seamlessly with raglan yoke shaping. Intarsia stripes make a simple pullover into a fun and friendly tiger. The colorwork is charted.

The hood is picked up and knit, with short row shaping so it won’t fall off. Extra height in the hood is taken in by the ribbing to create poofy cheeks. The buttonband is knit on as you go. The ears are picked up and knit at the end. Children’s heads and lengths can vary widely; for best fit, choose the size based on the chest measurement, and then alter lengths if necessary. The hood size is independent of the body size.

Special Skills: tubular cast-on (link provided), short rows (link provided), i-cord finishing, intarsia

Printing note: The pattern is laid out so that charts that need to be used simultaneously will not print on the same page when printed double sided, if the entire pattern is printed. If you select only some pages, check to be sure you avoid this.
