This is a .pdf crochet pattern, written in standard American crochet terms. With this very easy pattern, you can make a realistic badger plushy.

Size of finished animal
Made with worsted weight yarn: 7.8 inch / 20 cm long from nose to tail.

The crochet pattern contains
An intro with useful info. List of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.

Materials
For this crochet badger you’ll need worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need three colours of yarn: mixed black (1/4 of a 100 yard skein), grey (1/2) and white (1/5). These quantities are estimates. For the eyes I’ve used 8 mm animal eyes. You will also need fibrefill and pellets for a bit of extra weight in the body (I use Hama beads). Lopi colour numbers: black 0005, grey 0057 and white 0051. You also need a hard (animal) brush to brush your badger to get fuzzy.

Yarn
Istex Lett lopi. I strongly recommend using a fuzzy yarn because it gives the best result.

Gauge is unimportant for this pattern. If the pieces are crocheted tightly enough, they will not gape visibly when stuffed. You can make a little test swap to be sure.
