I am often influenced by “period” movies that I see. This design evolved from two such experiences: the HBO movie, “John Adams” and the French film, “La Vie En Rose”. In both, capelets were worn over coats to provide an extra layer of protection against the cold.

This stole can be worn alone or over a coat, for the ultimate warmth in the dead of winter. It can also be knit in a light weight yarn (cotton/ linen/ silk) to wear on cool summer nights.
