This is the very first pattern that I created and I am very excited to share it here on Raverly. I have a friend who is a very big fan of star wars so this project is inspired by him.

The hat runs a bit large, so for a smaller size I recommend smaller needles. The pom pom on the top is also optional but not included in the pattern.

The pattern is designed for straight needles.
If you use circular needles, just knit for every row in the pattern where it says to purl.
