Construction:
Top-down. Seamless. After knitting the left side collar, stitches are cast on provisionally for the shoulder and the left front is worked down to armhole. Then the same for the right neckline and front. For the back, stitches from the provisional cast on and the neckline are picked up and the back is shaped and worked down to armhole, .
After picking up stitches along the sides of front and back, the sleeves are worked down to desired length (flat or in the round, as you prefer). For the body, fronts and back are resumed, and, by picking up a few sts under arms, the armhole is shaped. A few short rows will shape the fronts. Work down to desired length, straight, with waist shaping or A-line shaping to create the perfectly fitting sweater for you. The pockets can be incorporated nearly without seams, if desired.
