“You can run faster and jump higher with Red Ball Jets!” They were the coveted sneakers of my childhood. I always wanted a pair, but my skinny feet swam around in them. Even though I never owned a pair, I remember them to this day. When my children were growing up, they had to have Nike or Vans or Doc Martens. Shoes seem to have some magic in them—when we wear them, we are transformed into track stars, basketball stars, and Hollywood celebrities! These socks, knit from cuff to toe, are a tribute to the magical shoes of our childhood. Which shoes were magic for you? These are part of my Recollections of Childhood Series and they are easy and a lot of fun! Knit from cuff to toe my patterns are rather detailed for those who like that and if you don’t just skip what you want and do your own thing! Thank you for looking.

Must knit now,
