“-in the Eight square we shall be Queens together, and it’s all feasting and fun!” - The Red Queen, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There

These wristers were inspired by Sir John Tenniel’s illustrations of the chess kings and queens in Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll. The rolls formed by the purling rounds are the chess piece base. There is a checkerboard section around the hand. And the picot edging forms the crown.

Somewhat Victorian, somewhat modern.
