This pattern was written for Unplanned Peacock Studio’s Fiber Club 2013. Last year’s theme was Fairy tales. This pattern was inspired by the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood as she ventures on her journey to Grandma’s house.

This pattern comes in 3 sizes and is available for 2 different weight yarns. (Worsted and Fingering)

If you received this as part of the fiber club, note that I have added notations about bind off and blocking:

BIND OFF: If you tend to bind off tightly, you may want to use the sewn off method* or bind off using a needle 2 sizes larger than the working needle.

BLOCKING: place hat in a bowl of cold water, squeeze out excess moisture, place hat on an inverted dinner plate. Allow to dry thoroughly.
