2009 is the 250th celebration of the birth of the Scottish poet Robert Burns. I knit this shawl in his honour from his poem/song “My luv is like a red, red rose”. This is quite a long shawl made up of rose motifs that get larger as the shawl progresses. The roses are beaded. The shawl is worked from the top down and finished with a amazing ruffle.
