My husband wanted a Fourth of July crochet piece to cover our hand-me-down love seat that was torn and stained. We originally considered trying the Never-Ending Granny Square pattern from Michael Sellick, but my husband didn’t like the effect. So I thought, “what would I like to learn next?” and suggested, how about a ripple afghan. He loved the idea, with the caveat that I use bright white, bright red and bright blue yarns.

So I went online and learned the basics of a ripple pattern and created this pattern of my own.
