Appropriately titled “Reflections,” this cardigan is knit beginning from the sleeve. Stitches are cast on for front and back and the piece is worked to the center of front and back. Then a mirror image is knit for the other side. Worked entirely in garter stitch, the figure-enhancing vertical stripes are easily created.
Strategically placing the darkest color on the side and upper arm creates a “shadow effect” that streamlines the body even more. The slight flare at the bottom and the oversized collar gives it a modern, yet retro feel.

Sample with teal contrast color is made with Cashmere Queen.

Sample with purple contrast color is made with HiKoo® Kenzie.

This pattern can also be made in Simplicity or Sueño. Please note that the pattern is exactly the same, whether it is made in Cashmere Queen or another DK weight yarn, including gauge, yardage required, etc.
