About this pattern
Reguengos de Monsaraz is the name of a village in Alentejo (Portugal), best know for the beautiful handwoven woolen blankets made to this day by the Fábrica Alentejana de Lanifícios. These blankets feature distinctive geometric motifs in bold colors and are one of the icons of Portuguese textile culture. My cowl incorporates one of the many motifs of the Reguengos blankets as a tribute to women who make them.

Pattern notes
The cowl is worked in the round.
