Lovely pattern, quite tricky to construct, but worth persevering as the finished gloves are lovely. There is an error in the pattern when attaching the hood, the directions given for attaching the right flip top will actually position it for the left flip top glove and vice versa. I cannot remember if this relates to the thumb position also, I suggest you check as soon as you attach the thumb, that it is positioned correctly. Any 4 ply / fingering will work but pure wool has good stitch definition and warmth. This pattern took approx 75g each of 2 colours of yarn and uses 2mm needles.
