This hat pattern is so easily adaptable. It is suitable for a man or a woman. It is knitted side to side instead of top to bottom. You can adjust the head size by simply adding a section and/or lengthening the hat by adding stitches to the initial cast on. You can use a single ball of yarn to make the hat or gather your leftover remnant yarns from your finished projects and bust your remnant stash. Just make sure the yarn weight is the same or close. Each section will take approx. 10 -12 yds each and the I-cord ridge will be approx. 5 yds each. You can use a contrasting color for the I-Cord ridge or make it all one color. I used an I-cord edging at the bottom but there is nothing that keeps you from a ribbing edge instead. It is mostly worked flat with the exception of the bottom edge, where you would work in the round if you make a ribbing edge instead of an I-cord edge.
