Beautiful and elegant, these Renaissance Fingerless gloves make the perfect cold weather accessory, for yourself or for a friend.

Beginning with the Chinese Waitress Cast On, a simple 2 x 2 ribbing transforms into a lovely and straightforward smocked pattern. Then on to the Lateral Braid, a gusset with lifted increases, then another smaller smocked bit over a 1 x 1 ribbing. Topping it all off is the Chinese Waitress Bind Off.

Have no fear! Video tutorial links to specific techniques on Mimi’s YouTube channel are included in the pattern.

The pattern includes instructions for both a fingering weight version and a worsted weight version. Where two sizes are shown on the pattern, the first is the fingering and the second is the worsted weight.
