Originally part of the Patternworks Essential Accessories Club, I’ve reworked this hat in a slightly heavier yarn. Great in solid colors, tweeds (as shown here), or painted color ways, this is a quick knit to keep your ears warm or give as a gift.

Worked back and forth to make sure the pattern lines up at the beginning/end of rows, the Tracery pattern is a 2-color slip stitch pattern so you’re only using 1 color for every 2 rows and slipping the stitches in the unworked color. This pattern is perfect for the knitter who’s skill level might not be quite at the Intermediate level for learning a new skill.
