Questo modello è estremamente particolare ma reputo sia una ottima alternativa allo “spolverino” serale dell’estate.
Non ha un verso corretto per essere indossato e questo lo rende un capo estremamente versatile: lo si può portare con l’apertura sul davanti o sul dietro, dona a diverse strutture fisiche e, nota positiva, è veramente molto semplice da realizzare.

This pattern is very peculiar but I find it a great alternative to the usual “duster” for summer evenings. It doesn’t have a right or wrong way to wear it, so that makes it a very versatile garment: you can wear it with the opening in front or in the back, it fits most body types and it is very easy to knit.

Materiale

• 700 m di filato di peso DK totali, in questo caso ho usato Signac di Borgo De’ Pazzi (75% merino irrestringibile, 25% poliammide), di cui 465 m del colore principale (nel modello ritratto il SIG4) e 235 m del colore di contrasto (nel modello ritratto il SIG1)
• Ferri 3,5 mm: è consigliato l’uso di un ferro circolare con il cavo lungo 80 cm, molto più agevole per la lavorazione del capo.
• Avanzi di filato di cotone (da usare per l’avvio provvisorio e per la sospensione dei punti delle spalle)
• Aghi per lana
• 2 segnapunti classici e 2 segnapunti a lucchetto (o 2 aghi di sicurezza)
• 2 bottoni automatici piccoli
• Ago e filo per fissare gli automatici

Materials

• 700 m of DK weight yarn, in this case I used Signac by Borgo De’ Pazzi (75% superwash merino, 25% polyamide), of which 465 m on main colour (shown in colour SIG4) and 235 m on contrasting colour (shown in colour SIG1)
• 3.5 mm needles: I suggest using circular needles with a long cable (at least 80 cm) to make the knitting more comfortable.
• Scrap cotton yarn (for the provisional cast on and to keep stitches on hold for the shoulders)
• Tapestry needles
• 2 stitch markers and 2 “lockable” stitch markers (or 2 safety pins)
• 2 small snap fasteners
• needle and thread to sew the fasteners in place

Tensione
24 maglie e 32,5 ferri in 10 cm di lavorazione a maglia rasata.

Gauge
24 sts and 32.5 rows in stockinette stitch for a 10 cm square.
