This pattern has been tested.

The stitch pattern used in this beanie resembles an hdc v-stitch on one side and a corded/slip stitch look on the other side. The different looking sides of this project combined with the mattress stitch seam and ultimate finish used to close up the beanie creates a seamless effect making this beanie a true 2-in-1 beanie.
