This is my first foray into reversible cables, and they turn out to be a piece of cake. I used two kinds of reversible cables in this pattern: ribbed cables, which are cabled on only one side but magically appear the same front and back, and alternating baby cables, where the purl rib on one side is the cable on the other.

The scarf does not really have a “right” and “wrong” side; the chart shows the scarf as viewed from the side where the large ribbed cables are crossed. The odd-numbered rows are worked on this side. On every fourth row the baby cables are worked on the other side; this row is shown as it faces the knitter in red.
