A swirling leaf pattern that flows effortlessly from a twisted rib brim is further accentuated by the understated reverse-stockinette background. This design started with the simplest of sketches, barely even an idea, and the curiosity of whether I could work the lace in reverse and still maintain its integrity.
Reversus is cleverly engineered so that you knit the entire hat inside-out, purling the lace and knitting the rest!

Specifically designed for the luxurious White Gum Wool. 100% sustainable and ethical superfine Merino grown in Tasmania. Expertly hand-dyed by Augustbird Yarns.

Why not make a matching set! Alicia Plummer’s striking new pattern White Leaf is the perfect companion piece to Reversus; featuring a similar leaf motif against a textured background. The ultimate in winter luxury!

Skills required
Suitable for an advanced beginner or intermediate knitter. You need to know how to knit in the round, work twisted stitches, increase and decrease and create yarn overs. The lace is worked on the purl side so you should be comfortable in ‘reading’ your knitting.
