Rhinebeck Reunion is knit from the bottom up, beginning with the sleeves, in the round. Once the sleeves are complete, you will place the live stitches on waste yarn, then join the sleeves to the body after knitting the body from the hem to the underarms. The lace pattern used on this sweater will cause the sweater to grow approximately 1-2”/2.5-5 cm after blocking. Keep this in mind when measuring for length of body and sleeves.

The sample is a size 2 shown on a 34”/86.25 cm bust with 2”/5 cm positive ease.

Yarn:
DK weight in one color. If using hand dyed yarn, alternating skeins every round will give you a more even color without “pooling” when you are finished.

Suggested Yarn:
Yarn Café Creations Chai DK (245 yards/100 grams) 75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon.
Mermaid Martini 5 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7) (7, 8, 8, 9, 9) skeins.

Suggested needles:
Body = US 7/4.5 mm circular needle - 16”/40 cm and 32-40”/80-100 cm cable length; additional set of DPNs for underarm grafting and knitting sleeves, if desired, or a 9” circular needle or circular needle in desired length for magic loop for the sleeves.
Ribbing = US 5/3.75 mm circular needle - 16”/40 cm and 32-40”/80-100 cm cable length; additional DPNs, 9” circular needle or circular needle in desired length for magic loop for sleeve ribbing.

Notions needed:
Stitch markers (1 unique for BOR), tapestry needle, waste yarn to place the sleeves and underarm stitches on.

Gauge:
19.5 sts & 28 rows = 4”/10 cm in lace pattern in the round using body size needles, after blocking.
Adjust Body needle size as necessary to match gauge. Go down 2 US sizes for the Ribbing needle once gauge is met.
