Notes from the Designer:

Life is all about connections. It is about growth and development, and that’s why I created this shawl. Urban development, geometric shapes, the speed of life, and the intersection of interests with each other. Rhombus Cross embraces all of this and brings it to the forefront. I hope that as you crochet this shawl, you feel connected and are able to enjoy these fascinating aspects of life and see the beauty in it all.

  • Click here to watch a video showing how to work the shells and rhomboids featured in this shawl.
  • Please read through the entire pattern before beginning to ensure you understand the stitches and construction.
  • The Ssc counts as a dc throughout the pattern.
  • Both the Ssc-3dec and the 3dec will decrease three stitches to one. The resulting stitch will count as a dc throughout the pattern.
  • If you are not adding the Rhomboid motifs shown in Version 2, you may chain any repeat of 3 + 13.
  • Gauge is crucial, as the center piece must fit inside Parts 1–2. Check your gauge frequently, so your piece will match the listed (blocked) gauge.
