Pattern description from Interweave Knits, Spring 2006: “A practical classic, fingerless mitts are fun to wear for a little color, warmth, and a bit of fancy. Marji LaFreniere’s little mitts come in two colorways and feature carefully designed cables and contrasting trim. The mitts reach from just above the wrist to the second knuckle and allow for easy access to cell phone buttons, bike brakes, and the car keys in your handbag.”

Finished Size: 7½” (19 cm) hand circumference and 7” (18 cm) long before blocking; 7” (18 cm) hand circumference and 7” (18 cm) long after washing and blocking.

Notions: Cable needle (cn); markers (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.

Note about Gauge: Ribbing will be very elastic; gauge may be difficult to measure.

Note from Interweave Knits, Spring 2006: “Left mitt rib batt begins with k2 and right mitt rib patt begins with p2 so that cable and thumb placement incorporate the patt.”
