Have you ever seen those faux turtlenecks or collars? The ones you wear under your sweater to give the illusion of a full shirt underneath? I’ve never understood those. But boot cuffs make sense. They give the illusion of cozy, handknit socks without the hassle of stuffing thick socks into tight boots. Basically, they’re like dickies for your ankles.
