Here’s an easy-to-knit, cute wardrobe staple that can be worn over boots or tucked into the tops of boots (without having to wear bulky socks), and either scrunched down or straight up. They look great with tall boots or shorties, or with ice skates! They’re knit in a simple 2 x 2 rib, on a circular needle or on double-pointed needles; no seams.

You’ll need 156 yds/142 m of bulky weight yarn. Our samples were knit with Patons Classic Wool (a 3-ply). We suggest using a hardy, multi-ply yarn with some twist - a soft single ply may not hold up as well being pulled off and on over boots and shoes.

4” = 12 sts, in ribbing pattern, slightly stretched, knit in the round
