This is an offshoot of my knitted pre-fold beginner knitter’s diaper pattern. This pattern has a few more stitch techniques, but it also uses regular hobby store cotton that is easy to find and is inexpensive. It also uses larger needles and less stitches, making it a quicker knit. You can also upgrade the cotton and use organic Aran cotton yarn, as this pattern works great for that type as well.

This is also a great pattern to learn to knit, with a couple extra stitches then the first pre-fold design. You expand from just cast on, knit, purl, and cast off, to placing marker, slip marker, make one to increase, and pattern in the ribbing to help the diaper contour to the baby’s bottom.
