This pattern works for many types of yarn and is a particularly good one for all the wonderful ribbon yarns available.
These two scarves were each knit with one hank of
Colinette, Giotto Ribbon yarn.

I have also used this pattern with Crystal Palace, Party
and Mango Moon, Silk Ribbon yarn.
Try it with a mercerized cotton or bamboo for a
lightweight scarf.

Gauge varies depending on which yarn is used. Have fun!
