A quick and easy one-skein/scrap project, this little hat pattern has a lot of room to play. The hat is begins with a simplified, super-stretchy tubular cast on and from there is built around a set of traveling bands inspired by Cat Bordhi’s Coriolis socks that swirl up the hat and give any stripes a wavy effect. The pattern is written with a general form, suggestions and support for a number of variations and specific instructions for two different striping patterns.
