This loom knit cowl uses a 48 peg round loom with a gauge of 5/8”. Examples of a loom this size include the original purple Knifty Knitter round loom & the adult hat round loom with the same specifications made by Premium Knitting Looms/CinDWood Crafts.

A 40 or 41 peg round loom with a gauge of 3/4” will also work, but this will slightly change the look of your finished product.

The pattern calls for bulky yarn but you could use two strands of worsted weight or other comparable yarn combinations.
