Ring of Lace Wrap
This project is planned for hand-dyed multi-colored lace weight yarn with a colorway repeat of 54” (i.e. yarn was dyed in a 54” skein).
Ring of Lace is an airy, lightweight circular wrap that can be worn in a variety of ways. This design is an example of how a project in hand-dyed yarn can be planned according to the length of color repeat to create ‘faux ikat’ effects.
This lacy ring of light and color transforms into many wearing possibilities.
Pattern includes design notes and mini-tutorial on knitted faux ikat for planning projects with other colorway repeat lengths and stitch patterns.
Pictured model was knitted in Schaefer Yarns Andrea 100% Silk, color Elena Piscopia.
