Ring System combines alpaca yarns in two weights to make an impossibly soft cowl using the most basic knitting technique of simple stockinette in the round.

This is a very simple pattern which presents an opportunity to practice and build basic skills. For example, I recently studied with Andrea Wong and wanted to perfect my use of the Portuguese Purl, so my sample was worked inside out and entirely in purl stitches with stockinette fabric resulting.

Use this basic pattern to practice knitting with very fine yarns, to learn to work in the round, or just as an extremely simple, meditative project that requires very little counting.
