Ripple Scarf
This scarf is the perfect accessory for summer evenings. It has a beautiful drape and an interesting textured lace pattern created by dropped stitches.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
38cm / 15” wide and 192cm / 75.5” long
YARN
726m / 790 yds in fingering weight yarn.
The sample is knit in Pirate Purl yarns Blackbeard (70% Polwarth, 30% Silk, 370m / 100g) in a OOAK colourway.
NEEDLES
One pair or a circular needle in size 3mm / US 3 or size
to obtain gauge.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, 5 stitch markers.
GAUGE
36 sts and 34 rows / 10 cm / 4” in k2, p2 ribbing,
unstretched, before blocking.
20 sts and 30 rows = 4” 10 cm in k2, p2 ribbing after
blocking.
DESIGN NOTES
This scarf is knit flat and from end to end.
There are charted and written instructions.
Wet blocking this scarf is essential to open
up the drop-stitch pattern and obtain
correct size.
