These cabled socks are made of aran-weight yarn to keep feet toasty warm in winter. The pattern is based on Wendy D Johnson’s Wendy’s Generic Toe-Up Sock, and is knitted from the toe up using a short-row toe and heel. The pattern contains written directions and a chart for the ripple cable.

Materials required:

  • 175m aran-weight yarn
  • 3.5mm DPNs
  • 2 stitch markers

Errata: In the original version of the pattern, the 10th stitch from the right on the second row of the chart was listed as a knit when it should be a purl. This has now been fixed.
