This pattern is one of eight from the e-book “Little Scarves: Baktus and Karius for the Loom”. Rippled Baktus creates a dramatically ridged Baktus that looks particularly striking with long color change yarns. All yarn weights work well with this pattern, which is written for three different gauges.

Loom:
5/8 inch gauge = 36 pegs
½ inch gauge = 42 pegs
3/8 inch gauge = 48 pegs

Yarn: photo samples were made in Knit Picks Chroma fingering in buttermint for the 3/8 version, and Plymouth Yarns Gina in peach/mauve/periwinkle, a worsted weight yarn for the 5/8 version. The amounts below are suggested:
Lace = 375 yards
Fingering = 340 yards
DK = 325 yards
Worsted = 310 yards
Bulky = 290 yards

The e-book comes with two files. One is a large print 24 point font, and the other is a 12 point font paper-saver file. The book includes 8 patterns, as well as information on variations for your Rippled Baktus and a photo gallery.

My patterns are low vision and screen reader accessible. The text is black, Arial and large print 24 point font. All of the directions are fully written out and no charts are relied on to complete the patterns. No italics are used. They are screen reader and tablet friendly.
