This vest is easy to wear, and adds both warmth and a little polish to an ordinary tee shirt. Cabled ribs cover front and back. All shaping is done using cable decreases - an especially lovely design element when combined with a rib! Vest has a simple wrap front - leave open or close with a favorite pin or brooch.

Finished vest sizes: 28 (30, 34, 38, 42, 46)“ chest circumference. -2” to +2” ease is recommended. Vest shown measures 34”, worn on a 36” dress form.

Yarn: Sunday Knits 5 ply (worsted weight yarn - 137 yd / 125 m per 50 gm skein): 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) 50-gm skeins. Shown in Brigadoon bark.

Needles & notions: 7 US (4.5 mm) straight or circular needles; tapestry needle, cable needle (cn) or double pointed needle (dpn), stitch marker.

Gauge: 22 sts and 25 rows = 4” in pattern stitch, blocked. (550 sts per 16 square inches.)

Skills needed: Cables, cable decreases, 3-needle bind off.
