Rippling Shadow Scarf
Rippling Shadow scarf is a fully reversible rectangular scarf. I believe if both sides of the scarf can be seen, then both sides should be the right side. Each colour is worked for 2 rows, and as it is a 6 row pattern repeat the colours are alternated for each repeat.
An interesting way to incorporate eyelets with two rows of slipped stitches and then a yo, k2tog to make the windows with a ‘shadow’ of the second colour visible.
Finished scarf size:
Width: 12”/ 30cm
Length: 68”/ 172cm
Design requires you pay attention to the pattern repeat but the techniques used are not difficult.
You will need to complete the scarf:
2 x 225m/ 246y/ 75g of 2ply sport weight yarn
Needles:
4.5mm/ US 7. Either straight needle or a 24-32” circular needle as per your preference.
You will need to know how to:
Slip stitches with yarn in front and back
K2tog and yarn over
