Rise Like Lions was inspired by Percy Bysshe Shelley’s poem The Masque of Anarchy:

Rise, like lions after slumber

In unvanquishable number!

Shake your chains to earth like dew

Which in sleep had fallen on you:

Ye are many—they are few!

The pattern calls for sport weight yarn in the following quantities:
115m/120 yards in main colour (white)
125m/137 yards in contrast colour 1 (grey)
10m/11 yards in contrast colour 2 (yellow)

In the sample mittens, the stitches in contrast colour 2 were all duplicate-stitched.
