Rising Fog is a rectangular lace shawl inspired by a letter written by poet Emily Dickinson. It features a central panel of diamonds framed on each end by a beaded edging.

Techniques include placing beads using the crochet hook method and garter stitch grafting. Instructions for these techniques are included in the pattern. The shawl requires 303 #6 seed beads and a size 10 (1.15mm) crochet hook.

The lace stitch patterns are given in charts.

Finished dimensions (after blocking) are 19.5 inches wide by 60 inches long.
