River Rapids is a combination of cables and lace that I developed to represent the look of the AuSable River through the whirlpools and bends by my home. The spinning water gently moving has always felt so peaceful and refreshing just to watch. This hat combines a stockinette body with a panel of the River Rapids lace flanked by a pair of the River cables. It can be made fitted or slouchy depending on the length of the body

Any DK or light worsted yarn will work well for this pattern. I’ve done it in acrylic, wool, and blends and all have resulted in wonderful hats.
