River Union Cardi
Looking for an edgier, fashion sweater with classic appeal but not the same old shape? The River Union Cardi has wide sleeves, a cropped silhouette, and a stylish attitude. Knit top down and seamlessly, it’s a rib-trim, stockinette cardigan with an edge.
Yarn: Berocco Pure Merino (100% extra fine merino, 92 yards), #8568 Teal; 7 (8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10) skeins. The yarn used in the sample is discontinued; substitutes include Valley Yarns Amherst or Valley Superwash, Spud & Chloe Sweater, Artyarns Supermerino, Blue Sky Alpacas Worsted Hand Dyes, Madelinetosh Vintage, Cascade Yarns 220, Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran, or any plied wool or wool/blend that knits to gauge.
Techniques Used: provisional CO, knit/purl, increasing, picking up stitches.
Experience Level: Intermediate

Bust & Hip: 32.5 (35, 37.5, 40.5, 43.5, 47.5, 50.5)”.
Sleeve length from neck: 17.5 (18.25, 18.5, 19, 19.25, 19.75, 20)”.
Length: 18.5 (19, 19.25, 19.75, 20, 21, 22)”.
Other Materials:
Yarn needle.
Stitch markers (10).
Waste yarn or extra cables for stitch holder and provisional CO (3).
3/4” Buttons 6 (6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 7).
Matching sewing thread and needle.
