This cosy, lightweight shawl is designed to be really wide so that it can be worn in lots of different ways. With sections of garter stitch and then short lace breaks it is a relaxing project which maintains interest throughout. There’s plenty of scope for playing with colour too - the lace sections are designed for a mini skein fade bundle but could just as easily be worked in random leftovers or all one colour.

This pattern contains both written and charted instructions for the lace sections.

Materials
Eden Cottage Yarns Lowther Lace, (75% Baby Suri Alpaca, 25% Mulberry Silk) (300m / 328yds per 50g skein)
Colourway: Riverside, 2 x 50g skeins (MC)

Eden Cottage Yarns Rosedale 4ply, (80% Superwash Extrafine Merino, 15% Nylon, 5% Gold Stellina) (80m / 87yds per 20g skein)
Colourway: Ash Fade, 1 x bundle of five mini skeins (CC1-5)

One set of 3.5mm needles (or the size needed to obtain the correct gauge)
Note: this shawl is worked back and forth, flat. It works well on circular needles – you will need an 80cm cable for this.
