These mitts are a surprisingly easy knit that fit a huge range of sizes! While they are only 5” around when lying flat, they will stretch to accommodate an 8” circumference!

The displayed mitts are knit with about 30g (roughly 131yds) of Elann Baby Cashmere (now discontinued). The ravelry page for this yarn lists this yarn as a regular fingering weight, however, this designer believes it is possible that it may be a light fingering weight yarn. I gave a range of yardage for yarn due to differences in types of fingering weight yarns as well as minor differences in gauge.

Due to the stretch of this pattern, gauge does not have to be perfect. However, large differences in gauge will affect the amount of yarn needed. This pattern has been test knit. Even with modifications, it appears that most knitters should be fine to complete both mitts with a single 50g skein of fingering weight yarn.
